How Divvy works

  • Buy a piece of your local

    Some communities are buying their pubs outright. Regulars at The Trafalgar in South Wimbledon have set up a community benefit society to buy the freehold, and anyone can take a share.

  • The trade's ask on tax

    Pubs pay 20% VAT on every pint. UKHospitality, the BBPA and most of the big pub companies are campaigning to cut that to 10%, in line with much of Europe. The chef Tom Kerridge is fronting it.
