Delete your Divvy account
You can delete your Divvy account, and the personal data that goes with it, at any time. You don't need the Android app to do it.
Delete it yourself
In the app: Profile → Edit → Delete account.
In any browser: go to app.divvy.pub/profile/delete-account, sign in, and follow the steps. It works on any phone or computer, with or without the app installed.
Before anything is deleted, Divvy shows you any money still outstanding in either direction, and anything that needs sorting first (for example, a crew you organise that needs a new organiser). Then you confirm it's you and type DELETE.
Ask us to delete it
Email jason@divvy.pub from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Divvy account”. We'll confirm and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, profile photo and drink preferences.
- Your saved bank details.
- Your check-ins and pub visits, and your points.
- Photos you added to nights out.
- Messages you sent us through the help, feedback and manage-venue forms.
- Invites and claim links you sent that haven't been used.
- Your sign-in, so the account can no longer be used.
What is kept, why, and for how long
- Money records, without your name. The amounts in past nights and crew tabs stay, so your friends' totals still add up. They show you as “Deleted user”. Notes and drink names that were part of a shared night stay with it. Kept for as long as those nights exist.
- Anything you still owe. If you still owe someone, the amount stays on that night, owed by “Deleted user”, and we email the person you owe to tell them (where we can). That email, with your name and the amounts, is kept by our email provider for its own retention period.
- Prices you reported, without your name, because they are part of the pub price data everyone uses.
- Receipt and menu photos from nights you were on: they are the group's bill, not your profile, and are deleted automatically 90 days after upload.
- A one-way fingerprint of your email address, so that if you had asked us to stop emailing that address, we keep honouring it. It can't be turned back into your address.
- A record that your roles were removed, in our security log.
- A record of the deletion itself (an internal id and the dates, no name or email), for 13 months, then deleted.
- Analytics and crash reports already collected stay with Google (up to 14 months) and Sentry (up to 30 days), against an internal id that no longer links to you. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
